Diplomas The Society traditionally offered the Diplomas of Associateship and Fellowship to members who successfully complete a course of study by correspondence. Initial credits towards the Associateship were granted to applicants who have some prior knowledge of philosophy. Fellowships were awarded to members who submitted research dissertations of the required standard. Members working towards award of the Diplomas received the support of a suitable mentor. No entry qualifications were required. At present, the Society is no longer accepting new enrolments, but a similar system is available of distance philosophical learning is being run by our former Director of Studies, Geoffrey Klempner.
